6th March

The NTSFL U13 Girls squad hosted Longford in Killavilla in their first interleague match on Sunday afternoon.

In fine weather the NTSFL girls ,who are not together long, put on a fine display.

In an entertaining and competitive match both sides had chances in the first half in an end to end encounter.

It was the NTSFL girls who took the lead just before the half time break when Jennifer Marnell celebrated her NTSFL debut with a goal. The NTSFL girls led 1 nil at the break.

The second half played out the same as first half with chances for both sides. The Longford girls  scored 2 goals in the last 15 minutes to claim a 2-1 victory.

Congrats to on our Longford visitors on their victory and we wish them well for the rest of the campaign.

The NTSFL Girls can be proud of themselves after a promising display and we will aim to build on this performance as we prepare for the next qualifier away to Roscommon.

Many thanks to our ref today John Lyons and to Killavilla for once again being great hosts. The whole squad also appreciated all the support provided to them by their families and friends, thanks you. Many thanks also to all the parents who provided refreshments for our visitors after the match.
